Grab a hunk of skin with both index and thumb fingers, squeezing the skin while pulling it. That gets the best result. Pushing inward with your fingers gets barely anything. That method is for face zits. Oh, and use a razor or something better!

Please, apply warmth, it’ll come out so much easier. To create a sm. opening in the skin, isn’t as painful as poking at it with a sharp. Make sure the tool is sharp and sanitized. Then wash hands, glove up ( prep the skin before incision ) Sorry out of order there.

Her tips are good and you should pay heed. She meant no harm and is the sweetest woman you will ever meet.
Boils are caused by staph infections. You didn’t wear gloves and you have been exposed to staph germs. You shot staph germs on your eye.
I’m hoping it wasn’t MRSA, the antibiotic resistant form of staph. If he gets more boils he should get tested form MRSA. If you carry MRSA you can spread it to people with weak immune systems ( the elderly, babies, people with cancer) and they can die.
Gramps has got a cyst, not a boil. You’ll need to cut that open & squeeze, please….
